how rice cultivation shaped the lives and landscape
of the region. African-American contributions to

Cypress Gardens

Sewee Visitor & Environmental

Service and US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Visitor
Center features the unique heritage and environs
of the Lowcountry. Part of the Francis Marion National
Forest, Sewee is the education center for the red
wolf, exhibits the ecology of the region and features
live birds of prey.
South Carolina Aquarium
